lactic acid 80% - ingredients

Hi there,
i love this site, it would be very appreciated if developer could add new ingredient Lactic acid 80% which will be automaticaly calculated in the recipe

I've put in a request to add it and to have it calculate. My lactic acid is 88%, so we'd have to have the ability to change the percentage if yours is 80%.

Can you give me a link to your 80% lactic acid, so I can have it for the developer? I can't guess at the amount of neutralization 80% lactic acid would give.

Hello Yooper,

Please find attached the calculations I use for my lactic acid. I have already added it in the additives section, and used the SAP function to account for the added sodium hydroxide that should be added.

As for the percentage, those calculations are for 100% lactic acid, so you can divide the result by the purity percentage and you obtain the amount that should be weighed.
(i.e.: if you need 1 gram of 100% lactic acid then for a purity of 80% you need 1/0.8 = 1.25 of lactic acid at 80%.)
