I see so many people do cold press soaps, but melt and pour looks easier and cures a lot faster. Which is better in your opinion and why?
“Better” really isn’t a factor.
Melt and pour comes already made and you just, well, melt it down and pour it into molds. They have some nice ones.
Cold process is a way to use oils and lye and water and make the actual soap batter.
It’s like making cake. You can buy a box mix, or you can make it from scratch. I make my own recipes and my own soaps, and it’s also cheaper than buying the soap already made but needing to be melted and poured into a mold.
Hi are there any melt and pour recipes and formula on here ?
