I masterbatch my lye 1:1 and I have that selected in section 1.
In section 3, I change the liquid:lye ratio for1.85:1
In section 7, I select goat milk for 83% of the liquid and distilled water for 17% of the liquid. I do this so I have water to mix my citric acid with and still able to use goat milk in my soaps.
My question is ... does the program figure the 83% and the 17% from the .85 that's not masterbatched?

here's the link to the recipe I'm referencing

Your liquid;lye ratio is not 1.85:1 if you’re adding goats milk and more water, correct? I’m very confused as to what your liquid really is, and how much.

If your masterbatch is 1:1, you want to only use as much liquid as you need to get you to 1.85:1 of course, so not sure how you’re figuring this.

I’d start by seeing exactly how much liquid you need, and consider going to 2:1 just to ensure your extra lye is fully dissolved (the extra lye from the calculation of adding citric acid) and the first add the amount of goat’s milk you need and then make up the difference with water. I didn’t do the math, but it should be correct that the distilled water added and the goat’s milk would be broken down by percentages.

2:1 is a lot easier for me to figure on my own. I wasn't sure if the software could do what I was asking. Thanks for your response :)
