1. what increases longevity?
2. can I use canola oil in place of olive oil? percentage to coconut oil?

To increase longevity, more ‘hard’ oils would help.
You can use any oils you want; but you’ll have to use the calculator to ensure the saponification values are entered correctly to avoid a lye-heavy soap. As far as coconut oil, some people will find it drying without a lot of superfat, so I personally keep mine at about 20% of the total oils if I’m using it in a soap with othe oils.
