- Hello, i just got Sodium Hydroxide from Brambleberry and i food out that is 97% pure , I'm very disappointed because it's a very good company but when I was looking at the bottle, that information is not provided. I had to talk with somebody via chat to find out. I noticed that my skin itches with now using this. Do you think I should let then cure longer or what recommendation should I follow? THANK YOU.

If your skin itches, it could be several things. But if you planned a, say, 5% superfat and set your lye concentration to 95-99%, it wouldn’t be lye heavy. Maybe your coconut oil was high? That makes me itchy. What was the recipe?

I’ve never had an issue with the lye from BB. if you are concerned, maybe try Essential Depot.
