I am in search of a fellow soap maker knowledge. I have been experimenting over a year and have 250 recipes of cp soap I’ve created. Need to know best way to add gm/cm to a cp recipe for good bubbles and lotiony cushion foam and how different milks act in cp soap recipes. Should do full milk in lye for Liquid replacement? Or a percentage of milk or some with lye and some at emulsion. Need a good data source. ChatGBT is inaccurate and useless.

I use milk in place of water often, and it turns out great. the only thing to be aware of is that milk scorches easily so I freeze the milk first, in ice cube trays, add the lye to the cubes in my soaping bowl and the put the bowl over ice while I add my lye. Then I may keep it there while I mix my soap batter if it seems to be getting warm. Scorched/burnt milk turns an unsightly brown, but that’s the worst that will happen even if it does get too hot. Sometimes instead of goat’s milk, I use water/lye as usually and then add an amount of goat’s milk powder to the soap batter near trace and that works too!
