Copy recipe functions not working

I don’t think I understand what you are saying. When you copy a recipe, it won’t let you copy the recipe? You still have to save it and any changes you make will be saved so I don’t quite understand what you are saying here I’m sorry. Could you give more details on what you are trying to do?
What I'm trying to do is make a duplicate copy of, let's say recipe A. into a new save so I can make small tweaks to it and save it as recipe A1 and be able to have both recipeA and A1 available to see. But the software is replacing recipe A with the new recipe A1, essentially deleting recipe A. If that make more sense.
