The sorting works fine but once you sort the supplies, you can’t go to another page of supplies. The pagination at the bottom is missing so if you have 4 pages of Fragrance, for example, when I sort them, the numbers for the pages disappears.

I do have packaging in the inventory and added it to the batch but it prices the packaging separately. So do I have to figure out cost per package and then add that to the cost per portion?

Something seems off on these calculations, this is why I was trying to figure out how the system determines cost of portions. I wish it included the packaging as part of that cost so that I don’t have to go through and add that to the cost of portion myself to determine COGS.

Is there an inventory export function somewhere that I’m missing? I like to have a back up to my inventory and I like to be able to determine the total value of my inventory, which I don’t see in the functions either.

Is there a way to sort supplies in alphabetical order? It would make it so much easier to find things when I’m updating them. Thanks in advance!

I think maybe I was not clear of what I am asking. I know HOW to determine my costs. My question was more about how Soapmaking Friend calculates it. My numbers and Soapmaking Friend are not matching up so I need to know the formula that Soapmaking Friend is using.

Can someone please help me understand how the Cost of Portion is calculated? Which sums are included in it and how does it determine the cost of portion? When I make a batch of soap, I cut ~60 bars and what is left I cut into sample soaps but the calculations it shows doesn’t seem accurate...

Thank you! Now I’m having more trouble with packaging. When I go to Inventory>My Supplies>Packaging, not all of my packaging items that I have added is showing up. Not even half of them show up so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I use wax seals on my packaging and I have added it into the packaging inventory. It shows I have 176 left but it is not showing in the drop down when I am documenting the batch. What can I do to fix it?

Good day! I made some batches and selected the radio button for 42 days instead of a specific date to know when the cure time is up and for whatever reason it did not set a ready date for 42 days. I used that for all of my batches and the number of days from the date of manufacturing the soap...

It comes up with a red X and says it’s not available but I still have 1500 grams listed in the inventory.

Well, our shop is a Mercantile and we have other things we make than just soap. We make leather goods, freeze dried candy, and candles as well. For candles, it would be nice to be able to have a “wax” category. For the leather and freeze dried candy, just an “other” category would work great...

Is there a way to put “other” as the type rather than only base oil, additive, lye/water, or packaging? I have things I purchase that do not fit into these 4 categories. Or is there a way we can create our own categories? Thank you! Josie
