Plastic wrap is to prevent soda ash. I'm not sure if it actually works, it’s just an extra measure/ tool sorta mindset.

I put my soap mold in a Ice cooler on top of a heating pad which temperature is set on warm, then once it’s hardened I’ll place plastic over mold & put a towel over over soap. I do check on it to make sure it’s not over heating & to assure it’s reached jell phase . like you I cover my soap to...

Does it smell like FO?. Usually my lye heavy soap has white spots throughout soap & gave me a Zap ⚡️ on tongue w/ the zap test.

Yes I noticed the spacing is all to the left side. It’s harder to distinguish between liquid, lye’s, & totals in Oz & Grams .

I shrink wrap all my CP soaps’ only problem I’ve had is the soap looses moisture & shrink wrap will become loose, which I hit it w/ the heat gun & it’s as good as new. Never had my bars become rancid from shrink wrapping. Happy Soaping 🧼✨

I’m doubling the recipe now’ it would be nice to have oil‘s / fats ready to go in a MB. But I’m confused as to calculate a couple of batches from a master batch. I hope I’m not confusing you. thank you I appreciate your help. 🧼💫

Appreciate your help: After I make my MB’ When I want to make a few batches from it’ Do I input recipe in soap calculator again choosing lesser amount of oils used, & select MB? Seams like it would be guessing the oil amount from MB?. Would lye be off? Thank you for your help I appreciate it. 🧼💫
