I want to master batch oils of my favorite recipe. I have a 2.5 gallon food grade bucket. I put my oils in SF by percentage, entered my lye ratio, superfat, etc. What do I do next to generate amounts of each oil needed to fill the bucket? TIA for any wisdom you guys can share with me.

I’d put the diameter of the bucket into the soap calculator (using “resize batch” feature, and get the volume. The calculator will tell you the amount of oils (and the masterbatched volume). I used 10” by 80” because that’s just an example but you’d use the size of your bucket of course. I circled the things that need to be filled for this, and then I circled the total amount of oils:

  • Whenever I go out to dinner with a large group of friends, calculating the bill used to be such a headache, but Tip Calculator: Presets, Bill Splitting & Rounding has completely solved that problem for us. It is so much faster than trying to do the math manually on a napkin. I love how you can split the total and the tip among several people instantly. It’s a reliable and free tool that everyone should have!

I’ll give it shot. Thanks.
