Chai Spice/Dead Sea Mud

Notes:
Chai tea: [steep 12 tea bags in 1 cup boiling water. Allow to cool, measure for lye water, adding ice as needed to make up the difference. Mix w lye. Cool to room temperature.
Mix 1:1 Zinc Oxide with water to form slurry, add about ⅓ c zinc to a medium sized container.
Add 2 teaspoons turmeric to another container, with 2 teaspoons of soap oils.
Add 2 tsp madder and 2 tsp cinnamon to another container, mix with 4 teaspoons soap oils.
Add ⅓ cup 1:1 charcoal/oil slurry to another container.

Mix lye and oil together with the tea leaves from the 6 already steeped/squeezed out tea bags. Bring only to emulsion, very liquidy still.
Working quickly, divide soap between the 4 containers of colorants, leaving about ⅓ of the soap in the original pot. We don't need too much white, so only fill that half as much as the others. Divide essential oils between each container, eyeballing it. Quickly mix up each portion with their oils. Then pour each color once from high, once from pot-level, into the pot with the remaining soap, adding each color in a different spot around the pot (zinc at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, turmeric at 2 o'clock and 7 o'clock etc…). This needs to happen super fast. Then after 2 quick rounds with the spoon in the pot, pour the soap into the mold, moving the pot side-to-side in a wavy motion. Give it a shimmy, no spreading or stirring. Texture the top. ]
Swirl with “in the pot swirl” using zinc, turmeric, madder/cinnamon, and charcoal. Use more tea for deeper base color. Use zinc sparingly for highlight. More cinnamon/madder and more turmeric. Less black and white.
Move that bass. Get it in the mold.

For Dead Sea Mud:
essential oils mandarin (50), basil (20), anise (20), and clove (10)
Colored with alkanet swirl into the Dead Sea mud portion; bottom portion colored with caramel clay.
