1st CP Test Batch
Notes:
Used "expired by selldate 1/2023" Virgin Coconut Oil that was unopened until today. Used old 8 year old (2015) NaOH Lye that was opened minimally. *update: batch took a long time to reach trace (about 30mins). At first, it was stirred because I though trace would happen immediately but it was still watery and semi-transperant. I thn added the essential oils hoping it would speed up trace...it did not. So I used the immersion blender and it worked slowly, so just kept alternating between stirring, blending and leaving it alone to thicken. Once it hit the thick pudding consistent I added more essential oil blend and lemon and it seems good. *update: unmolding took about hours
