New Recipe

Mix the lye and water. If you are adding sugar to the recipe add to water and Let dissolve then let water cool down before adding to lye otherwise you can get splashed by the chemical reaction and get burned. Let cool for 15-20 minutes. Melt oils in crockpot to 150 degrees. You do not want your oils hotter than 180 degrees. Add lye solution. Stick blend until oils and lye mixture is blended. Add mica coloring ½ tsp mica to 1 ½ tsp rubbing alcohol per pound stick blend. Cover the crock with plastic wrap. Keep moisture in the crock. Leave on until done cooking. As the soap cooks it will begin to gel around the edges. Once the majority of soap is gelled remove crock from base. Remove the plastic stir the soap. Temp should be 200-220 degrees. Cover again. When soap is 180 degrees or below you can add your fragrance and yogurt. Stir. Add color. If doing 2 colors layer into mold and swirl. Pour into mold.
Yogurt 1.5 T per lb of oils. For this recipe that would be 3T
Add 1 tsp arrow root to eo before adding to soap.
