We did not experience any acceleration or separation. The batter came to an emulsion quickly but we had to stick blend to reach a thin trace. We immediately poured into the mold and it was just fluid enough that it didn’t plop into the mold. We were able to tamp the full mold on the table and smooth the surface almost completely. After 24 hours, we observed that the soap almost reached a full gel and there was no discoloration. Various design techniques could be used that require a thick trace. Just prepare to work quickly! There was no discoloration and the scent had a pleasant herbal quality with the sage notes becoming slightly more dominant. We did not see any signs of the soap going into a gel phase. After 30 days the scent became more balanced and is pleasantly mild. There was no discoloration. Due to the slow trace and no discoloration this would be a great scent for intricate swirls using vivid colors.
