Revised: Soap Queen Espresso Shot

Notes: Original Recipe called for Hazelnut oil, but I used Apricot Kernel instead. Also I will be using coffee butter instead of Advacado butter, but the lye calculator didn't have coffee butter on the list. The following Soap Queen link gave avocado butter as suitable alternative, and therefore was entered into the above formula to safely calculte the lye.

This is a revamped version, using Shea, Sunflower oil, and castor oil. Will try and see what happens
This was a winning soap recipe bubbly and fun to use.
Dec 2022 - I'm using this same recipe to make a coffee ghost swirl soap.
Note: For liquid use espresso coffee, plus add an additional 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds to the lye solution. Strain the solution while adding it to your oils.

• for the ghost swirl, we will use 35% lye solution (holly's soapmaking) for the main batter.
• ⅓ of the batter, 400g will be used for the swirl. Here you will add 2 tbsp of hydrated cocoa powder (hydrated with distilled water). The extra water should help to add a glycerin river around the swirl. (holly's soap making).
• Also, to the rest of the batch used coffee grounds will be added, roughly 1 tsp to 1 tbsp per pound of soap. I will use one full tbsp of coffee grounds.
• we have 1200g of soap which equals roughly 4.8 to 5 cups, or 2.65 to 3 lbs.
• Option: you can add 1 tbsp of kaolin clay to the main batch to lighten the color a bit.
