Notes:
- Add 1 tbs of kaolin clay (total) per pound of oils . Make a slurry with the fragrance oil when making the lye solution to have time to absorb fragrance. Since this is for soap clay, can omit fragrance unless making shapes specifically for a particular fragrance and account for discoloration and size of portion.
- dissolve tussah silk fibers in lye water. Use a pinch the size of pinky nail for small batches, thumb size for large batches. Separate fibers thoroughly and add to container before adding water/liquid
- Add sodium lactate to cooled lye water. Add 1 tsp per pound of oils
