Aloe Vera Soap 4 May

Aloe Vera gel (from the plants) used as water replacement How to Make Aloe Vera Soap
1/2 tsp chlorella powder + 1 tsp French green clay added to hot lye solution.
Optional add-ins: 10 drops rosemary antioxidants (rosemary oleoresin extract) to extend shelf life + 1/2 tsp sodium lactate to harden soap - add to lye water when lye water has cooled or add fresh aloe vera to the oils after the lye has been added.
170 g water 150 g aloe vera = 320.63 grams of liquid
add lye to water, when soap has come to trace, add aloe vera otherwise lye can burn the aloe vera.

How to extract fresh aloe for soapmaking​

1. Cut the aloe leaf into several sections.
2. Use a sharp knife to run along the inside edges of each section, separating the inner gel from the outer skin.
3. Use your fingers or a spoon and press the aloe gel from the leaf.
4. Place in a small food processor or blender.
5. Process until smooth. (It will get fluffy, almost like egg whites.)
6. Store in the refrigerator if you’ll be making soap within a few days, or freeze in ice trays for longer storage.
