Notes:
Part 1: Measuring Oils
  1. Measure out 48.45g of Castor Oil.
  2. Measure out 96.91g of Sunflower Oil.
  3. Measure out 193.82g of Coconut Oil.
  4. Measure out 242.27g of Shea Butter.
  5. Measure out 387.63g of Olive Oil.
  6. Measure out 20g of Fragrance Oil.
Part 2: Measuring Lye Solution
  1. Measure out 271.34g of Distilled Water.
  2. Measure out 140.19g of Lye.
Part 3: Prepare Lye Solution
  1. Add 271.34g of Distilled Water to 2L Lye Jug.
  2. Slowly add 140.19g of Lye to the Distilled Water.
  3. Slowly and carefully mix with spatula until fully dissolved.
  4. Let Lye Solution cool to 120-130F (48-54C. Must be within 10 degrees of oils)
Part 4: Prepare Oils
  1. Add all liquid oils (except fragrance oil) to the 4L jug.
  2. Add the 242.27g of Shea Butter to a rice cooker and in slow bursts, melt it until the liquid is clear.
  3. Add in the Shea Butter to the 4L jug.
  4. Mix oils together and allow to cool to 120-130F (48-54C. Must be within 10 degrees of Lye)
Part 5: Making Soap
  1. Add the 1Tbs of Mica to the oil mix.
  2. Place stick blender into the jug and move around to remove air bubbles. Carefully pour Lye solution into the jug.
  3. Mix the solution of lye and oils until thin trace.
  4. Add in the FO and hand mix with spatula until full incorporated.
  5. Pour into mould.
Part 6: Mould
  1. Tap soap down to remove any air bubbles.
  2. Put a design on top using a spoon, and sprinkle salt on one side.
  3. Cover with box and blankets for 24-48 hours.
  4. Cut the soap.
Part 7: Cure
Allow soap to cure for 6 weeks to 3 months. Turn the soaps weekly to allow maximum air exposure.
