Colendula Soap Cake Festive Version

At Trace: EO blend of 13 g Beragmot, 11 g Sweet Orange
Split batch in half: I will use Paprika as the colorant to give a more festive holiday look.

• Color half the batch with 10 grams of tumeric, praprika, or carrot seed powder, mix with pumpkin seed oil, or annetto seed oil infusion to make a smooth silky paste.
• Color half with zinc oxide and add poppy seeds 1 tbsp roughly

Layer batches, starting with white later, than orange layer, finishing with white layer on top.
cover top of the soap with colendula petals.
For batch made on March 8/20 10g of Carrot seed powder were mixed with 10 g of annetto seed oil and mixed in half the batch at light trace.
I love this soap. The color stays nice, it's hard, and gives a nice lather. This scent blend fades quite a bit. I would consider exploring other E.O. blends.

I've had to take out the rice bran oil in this recipe. I can't seem to find it in the grocery store anymore. I'm trying canola oil instead. I did a one to one stubstition. Alternativley Olive OIl would be another option.
