Additives Purpose
- Citric Acid – chelator a soap scum inhibitor (fights hard water chemicals magnesium and calcium)
- Honey – has gluconic acid that forms sodium gluconate when mixed with lye and is another chelator
- Sugar – increase lather
- Sorbitol – a solvent that will increase the lather
- Salt – hardens soap
- Sodium Lactate – hardens soap
- Yoghurt, milks, cream – increases fluidity and used a PC additive
