10g citric acid neutralizes 8g NaOH - 0.02907=18.14/10=1.814*8=14.512g NaOH
Additives Purpose
  • Citric Acid – chelator a soap scum inhibitor (fights hard water chemicals magnesium and calcium)
  • Honey – has gluconic acid that forms sodium gluconate when mixed with lye and is another chelator
  • Sugar – increase lather
  • Sorbitol – a solvent that will increase the lather
  • Salt – hardens soap
  • Sodium Lactate – hardens soap
  • Yoghurt, milks, cream – increases fluidity and used a PC additive
