Lavender Fields Goat Milk Soap

Olive oil is infused with calendula
Mix the 10 g kaolin with about 1 tablespoon of your measured liquid oils until completely smooth. Stir/blend that slurry into the entire oil pot before adding the lye solution.
Before freezing your goat milk, remove about 1 tablespoon from the total recipe liquid. Mix the 12 g honey into that reserved milk. Add this honey/milk mixture to the oils shortly before the lye solution.
Stir sodium lactate into lye solution after it has cooled to below 120

• Add the goat-milk/lye solution. Stick-blend in short pulses, alternating with hand stirring. Stop at stable emulsion rather than waiting for a definite trace.
• Lavender-colored portion — AFTER emulsion. Have your lavender mica pre-dispersed in a little of your measured recipe oil before you start. At stable emulsion, pour about 20–25% of the batter into a separate container and hand-stir the mica into it. Don't stick-blend it unless absolutely necessary.
• Swirl and pour immediately. Pour your cream and lavender portions and make a simple swirl.
• Dried lavender buds — AFTER pouring, TOP ONLY. Sprinkle just a few of your dried homegrown lavender buds across the top and gently press them in. Don't put them throughout the batter—they tend to turn ugly brown in CP soap.
  Freeze goat milk → make milk/lye → sodium lactate → melt oils → kaolin → diluted honey → EOs → lye into oils → blend only to emulsion → split/color → swirl → lavender buds on top.
