Rosemary Gel Soap

1. Put rosemary in a container and add boiled distilled water. Let this steep
2. Place 130g of fresh rosemary in a double boiler, or a glass container, and add 400g olive oil. Let this infuse for at least 6 hours on low heat
3. Strain the rosemary infused oil, and measure out the given recipe amount. To this, add the coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter
4. Let the oils melt together, and then allow to cool
5. Back to the rosemary tea….measure out Xg of this rosemary tea, and add X amount tbsp flax seeds. In a saucepan, heat these together and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for a bit.
6. Put the flax and roasmary tea through a strainer and you will have a flax gel.
7. Add FO or EOs: rosemary, lavender, eucalyptus, thyme, cedarwood.
8. Add Xg citric acid to 110 g rosemary tea, and stir until dissolved
9. Add salt, if you're using it
10. Add Sodium hydroxide - add to the tea, and stir to dissolve. Set this aside to cool
11. Now take the rosemary fax gel and add it to the oils. Blend to emulsify
12. Add the lye water at about 100 degrees
13. Mix to combine, and then pulse blend to form an emulsion
14. Pour

This was made on 1/24/26
It was a bit stressful, because I wanted to make sure I had the lye and water concentrations just right, and also I wanted to make sure that I accounted for the citric acid solution. Stand by for results.
