For Taiwan Swirl variant: Once lye water is added, divide batter into three equal parts (~16.5oz/each). If using a Mica colorant start with 1 tsp dispersed colorant and add up to additional 1/2 tsp to each container. If using an oxide start with 1/2 tsp of colorant. Only go to a light trace with this batter
With two dividers creating three lengthwise openings for soap in a 10" loaf mold place the dark color in the middle and two complementary colors on each side.

Use a straight edge rather than rounded edge at the top and bottom of this swirl pattern.
This recipe is flexible. I replaced 5% of the Olive with Almond for a slightly slower trace. If I went much higher I lost the value of the Palmitic & Stearic acids that Olive have over Almond. I concluded the effect would be more "oily" in feel. I've tried this recipe with Avocado and it performs nicely. Switching to Apricot increases Oleic and decreases Palmitic/Stearic. I don't know if the "feel" of the soap will be noticeable.

After creating the first swirl pattern pass through each color one time using this pattern.
