Hello friends, I do not know what happened to my soap batch. Below is my recipe… the batter traced well and just as I was ready to pour, I added a pearlescent agent.
now midway through the pouring the batter curdles with the oils separated.
Kindly know that I had already done a previous batter colored with activated charcoal and it’s held quickly and well.
Now I’m wondering if the pearlescent agent could be the culprit

menthol soap recipe
Coconut oil 35%

Palm oil 25%

Cocoa butter 10%

Shea butter 10%

Sunflower oil 10%

Soybean oil 10%

Water to lye ratio 1.5:1

Lye 72g

Water 102g

Additives

Menthol 0.8% of total soap weight

Kaolin 1tbsp per lb of oils

Titanium dioxide 1tsp per lb of oils

Honey 1 tsp per lb of oils

Vanilla fragrance oil

Lavender fragrance oil

Sodium lactate

Pearlescent agent - added after trace just before pour.

You might have a ghost trace or a fake trace, and in your case the charcoal might have held the batter together, if you still have this problem try adding clays or starch, it will hold the trace better, and in some cases changing the temperature (higher or lower) might solve the problem.
