So I want to make a coconut soap with actual coconut in it. I'm pretty new and I am not comfortable with cold process as I don't want to work with lye. But if I used coconut oil in place of fragrance oil, will it have a scent? How much oil per 1 lb of soap is allowed? I've been using Brambleberrys lye calculator and it looks like .16 oz is a good amount but if I want to add fragrance oil as well as coconut oil... how much is too much?

You won't get any fragrance from the coconut oil- oils' scent does not survive the saponification process.
But all soap uses lye, unless it's not soap. You're considering melt and pour and adding fragrance to it? That will work fine. You dont' want to add oil to melt and pour soap.
