Add Fragrance % on printed recipe...

Hi, I find myself manually writing down the fragrance % on the printed recipe. Could it be included somewhere? Perhaps on the Superfat line item, since its essentially additional superfat? maybe something like Superfat:Fragrance 5%:3% ? Or included with the fragrance weight? When I'm...

    Goat's MIilk

I just did a batch of goatmilk soap today, with 12% honey. I've never come across any literature about goat milk, or any milk, shortening the shelf life of soap, but I'm no expert! todays goatmilk soap was very successful. this is what i did: - freeze the milk the night before - use a metal...

Custom Oil/Fat Entries: Unable to edit and delete

hi, I was entering a custom oil (Gac Seed Oil) but I messed up some values. I'm unable to edit or delete it. I'm using Chrome on win10, both up to date. I've not tested it in other web browsers. I'm using Chrome version 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) Just reporting the bug. I added...

    Palmitic Acid Additive

Hi, I've read a lot online about stearic acid as an additive for soap making. But has anyone experimented with palmitic acid? They're apparently similar in many ways.

    Goat's MIilk

Does using dried-powdered goat (or any) milk help with the burning issue?

oil/fat/wax section: 1) add drop down to organize 2) alternate row shading

hi, 2 suggestions that I think may be of practical help 1) add a drop down allowing users to organize the oils, for instance the current is highest to lowest. but could it be grouped by the hardness of the oils? I always weigh and melt my butters, wax first and coconut oil first, and then add...

Fragrance oils section: adding a breakdown

yes, grams! I've never used teaspoons as per many recipes found online. droppers are all over the place. oz are just too big; I'm familiar with metric too -- so its just easier and more precise to use grams. I think a 'full' list is impossible. a common list would likely meet most peoples...

Fragrance oils section: adding a breakdown

Can the section for fragrance oils be broken down -- perhaps the same way as the base oils are? For the purposes of mixing fragrances: blending a 50-30-20 of base-middle-top notes. I'm now finding myself doing weight % calculations and adding notes for multiple fragrances for example - have the...

    Recipe calculator

Yeah. I'm a bit envious of you! I play around with the calculators all the time, testing out new batches constantly; I enjoy trying new recipes and making my own but also I'd also just like to focus on the artistic side instead of worrying about the base recipe. I am trying to decide on some...

Salt and Sugar Conversion to Percentage

yeah. the first step in calculating was to convert the tsp to mass -- thankfully there's generalized info about salt and sugar online for baking and nutrition purposes. When I calculated I think I used... 2 tsp sugar = 8 g 1 tsp salt = 5.6 g

Salt and Sugar Conversion to Percentage

I can't seem to find much documentation the net about this topic. Most of the stuff I find seems to be from Americans with their lovely imperial system and volume measurements. So most places I've read recommend: 1 tsp Salt per 1 lbs of oil 2 tsp Sugar per 1 lbs of oil I'm trying to convert to...

    Longevity

Isn't the longevity value a straight calculation of hardness-cleansing with this calculator? That's how I've read it described elsewhere as well. Salt and sodium lactate don't effect the calculations in this calculator it seems. Nor do waxes. But all are commonly accepted as adding hardness...

    Recipe calculator

Hmmm I'm new to soap making but I've been reading lots recently. Perhaps the concept of SAP values isn't well understood? I see it as a type of disclaimer... so that some people don't go swapping some of one oil for another without recalculating. I don't think that advice applies to your situation.
