Hi, I went to the Dettol website and I don't see a list of ingredients or mention of a surfactant they use. How do I find that? Mot that I want to make Dettol, I think that cold-processed soap is my personal solution already, but the word surfactant intrigues me. I would like to read about it.

You have found how nice it is to use home made soap for your skin but now you want to explain it to others, so it is not so mysterious? I think the good glycerin naturally formed in the process is what helps. That superfatting also, must be what makes it soothing. I just started making soap...

OH, that is good to know there are tricks to help with hard water. Tell me more please about using borax, if you don't mind. I have been using water that goes through our reverse osmosis filter, but that will soon be needing a change, and maybe I should learn other ways. Thanks!
