DOS? How much is too much palm oil?

Hello there beautiful people....

How much is too much palm oil? Right now I have a recipe with 42% palm oil... (I've read that 33% is the most someone should go but I'm not sure why) is there a downside to a soap with high palm oil?

Can I expect DOS?

Definitely no DOS, as palm oil makes a very hard bar. It’s recommended to use no more than 40%, but I don’t think it’d be a problem to go to 42% if you want the qualities from palm oil.

With bar soap I usually always go high on the Palm Oil. Bars last a long time and create lots of creamy lather. I'm fixin' to make some Men's Shaving Soap pucks later in the week and it is quite high in both stearic acid. Tons of creamy lather with that recipe, but it's not so much for cleansing as for slipperiness for the razor.
